Freshmen Orientation

Freshmen orientation today! Super hectic but fun. I actually took more than ten minutes to get ready lol. I got our stuff ready and left but then I realized I forgot to get the shirts for Leyna, Teresa and Taylor so I had to go back. ugh. All we did was hang out for like an hour in the gym. Then they assigned us jobs. Cheered as the freshmen walked in. Their faces were priceless! Right after everyone entered link leaders had to go and sit with a group of freshmen so I squeezed in between these two girls and one of them turned out to be Ethiopian so we established a special bond lol. Apparently the air conditioner blew out. Then I signed in all my freshmen and it was super easy. Took them to the class and let them talk for like a few minutes. Sort of awkward at first but after a while we got the hang of it. Hewitt would do the intro and I’d do the outro. My favorite activity was Name Tag. We ran out of time so I didn’t have to do the personal story part :P I liked my group of kids. They were entertaining and really interactive. Gave them a really fast tour of the campus. Went to get judged for our costumes lol. The weather was deadly. Back to the gym. Ryanna’s and Nancy’s group got first place :) Then we went to the cafeteria. omg air conditioning never felt so amazing. Justin and Hewitt are mean. Got some pizza and sat with Roger, Teresa, Leyna and Nathan. I’ll miss them when they leave. Then we had a “reflection” time. Walked to DATA leadership meeting with Roger. I saw my boo, Jeffrey. He kept koalaing on me. Meeting took a while to start so we were just taking pictures. AVID (academy of very intelligent designers)… “You guys get worse every year” -Mrs. Lascola. Jack and Charlie walked me to the light. Went over to my cousin’s. Lazy time. I really need a cup of tea or coffee.
